Terms of service
Last updated 29 August 2026
Where the business stands. Curbside Bin Cleaning Co. is a pre-launch business in Austin, Texas. As of the date above we have not yet begun performing cleanings. We launch in February 2027. Anything you pay before then is paid in advance of service, and is fully refundable under our refund policy.
1. Who we are
Curbside Bin Cleaning Co. ("Curbside", "we", "us") is a veteran-owned trash-cart cleaning service operating in Austin, Texas. These terms govern your use of curbsidebincleaning.com and any service you buy from us.
2. What we provide
Mobile hot-water cleaning of wheeled refuse carts at the kerb. A standard visit covers up to three City of Austin carts — refuse, recycling and compost. Additional carts are charged per our published pricing. Cleaning is performed on or shortly after your regular collection day, when carts are empty.
3. Joining the waitlist and the $10 first cleaning
Joining the waitlist places you in a queue; it does not by itself create a service contract. If you pay the $10 first-cleaning fee, you are paying in advance for one cleaning to be performed after we launch in your ZIP code. We will tell you before your first cleaning is scheduled.
We build routes by neighbourhood density and may not reach every ZIP code. If we decide not to serve your area, we will refund you in full and say so.
4. Your saved card
When you pay the $10 reservation we save your card so your chosen plan can begin at launch without asking you for it again. The card is stored by our payment processor, Stripe — we never see or hold your card number. We will not charge that card again until after your first cleaning has been performed, and you can ask us to delete it at any time by replying to your receipt.
5. Pricing and billing
Prices are as published on our site at the time you subscribe. Subscription billing does not begin until after your first cleaning has been performed. You may cancel at any time; there are no contracts and no cancellation fee. We may change prices for future billing periods with at least 30 days' notice.
6. Access and your responsibilities
You agree to leave your carts accessible at the kerb on your service day. If carts are not out, are still full, or are blocked, we may not be able to clean them; that visit may count as used. We return carts to where we found them.
7. What we do not do
We clean the inside and outside of standard wheeled carts. We do not remove waste, unblock jammed lids, repair damaged carts, or clean commercial dumpsters. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, staining, odour that survives cleaning, or wear to old carts.
8. Cancellations and rescheduling
We may reschedule for weather, equipment failure, holidays, or changes to the City of Austin collection calendar. We will tell you when this happens and will not charge you for a visit we do not perform.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to our service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Privacy
What we collect and why is set out in our privacy policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and any dispute will be brought in the courts of Travis County, Texas.

13. Referrals — you both get a free cleaning
13.1 What it is. Everyone has a personal referral link. When someone at an address we do not already serve signs up through your link and pays for a cleaning, we add one free cleaning to your account and one to theirs.
13.2 When it lands. As soon as they pay. You do not have to wait for their visit to happen.
13.3 What a free cleaning is. One standard visit — all three of your City of Austin carts, at your service address. It is a cleaning, not money. It has no cash value, we will never buy it back or pay it out, and it cannot be transferred, sold, pooled or combined with anyone else’s.
13.4 One address, one referral. A referral counts once per household. If someone at an address we already serve signs up through your link — a partner, a housemate, a lodger, or a new tenant — their cleaning still happens, but no free cleaning is earned by anyone, because it is the same set of carts on the same visit. Separate units at one street address (Apt 2 and Apt 3) are separate households and do count.
13.5 If a payment comes back. If the neighbour you referred is refunded or disputes the charge, the free cleanings from that referral come off both accounts. If one has already been used, we will not bill you for it.
13.6 Expiry and limits. Free cleanings do not expire. We may change or end the referral programme at any time; cleanings you have already earned stay yours under the rules published when you earned them.
13.7 Abuse. We may withhold or cancel free cleanings and close accounts where we believe someone has referred themselves, used an address that is not real or not theirs, opened duplicate accounts, or bought or sold links. If we do that we will tell you why, and you can ask us to look at it again.
13.8 How to share your link. Send it to people you actually know, from your own phone or inbox. We never email or text anyone on your behalf. If you post your link publicly, say plainly that you get a free cleaning if someone signs up.
14. Every fifth cleaning is free
14.1 How it works. Each cleaning we perform for you earns one point. At five points your next cleaning is free, and we apply it automatically — there is no code to enter and nothing to claim.
14.2 What counts. Paid visits earn points. A visit you get free does not earn a point toward the next one. Points are counted per service address.
14.3 What a free cleaning is. The same as section 13.3: one standard visit, all three carts, no cash value, never paid out, not transferable.
14.4 Limits. Points and free cleanings do not expire. We may change this programme at any time; anything you have already earned stays yours under the rules published when you earned it.
15. SOS Clean
15.1 What it is. A one-off emergency visit when a cart has gone bad — a split bag, maggots, a spill. We empty whatever is left in the cart and run it through the rig.
15.2 Price. $100, flat, for up to three bins at one address. If there is more than that we will tell you the price before we start, and you can say no.
15.3 Timing. Once we are running routes, we aim to be on site within 3 hours of accepting your request, same day. Sending a request is not a booking — we confirm first, and we will tell you honestly if we cannot make it.
15.4 Before we launch. Our first cleanings are in February 2027. You can send an SOS request now and one of us will reply personally, but nobody is dispatched before we launch.
15.5 What it is not. We are not a pest control, sanitation, or hazardous-waste service. We clean carts. If you have an infestation or something hazardous, contact a licensed operator or the City of Austin.
16. Changes
If these terms change we will update the date at the top. Material changes will not apply retroactively to services you have already paid for.
